Future of Miami dining

This article came out today in the New Times about restaurants opening up in the near future in and around Miami. It looks like one of the better crops we've had in years. We'll see about their staying power. One thing's for sure, if Table 8 east is anything like Table 8 west, it'll be around for a while.

  1. Are there really no other restaurants aside from Barton G. doing "molecular gastronomy"-type dishes in Miami?

    1. Nope. Believe it or not, we actually had a branch of La Broche in Brickell and it closed within a year. It's pathetic that people in Miami couldn't support a place like that but will wait an hour and a half for dinner at Houston's.
