Mongolian BBQ in the valley (near Studio City area)?

Anyone know of a good Mongolian BBQ joint near Studio City? All you can eat?

  1. The only one I can think of -- and it's not bad, just not wonderful -- is Mogo's BBQ, on the corner of Van Nuys and Moorpark, behind the In-N-Out, next to Pineapple Hill Saloon. It is AYCE.

Thanks for the reply... what does AYCE mean?

Is there something better not too far away (maybe 10-15 miles)?

        AYCE means All-You-Can-Eat.

I can't think of anything better, because the other Mongo Bobo that I can think of is the G-d awful Great Khan's in the mall.

    2. Mogo's has this really weird soup that Im guessing is a regular chicken stock with some fried won tons and peas in it, very interesting. I wish there were some other options because the ventilation in Mogo's really stinks and makes it pretty unbareable to enjoy a meal there.

I've always asked to be seated near the door, so that the air gets sucked out when people come in. The soup IS weird... I don't eat the weird gooshy-crunchy fried noodle things.

The food at Mogo's is ok but the atmosphere is soooo depressing, enough that we hardly ever eat there. They seriously need a remodel.

        2. I go to the Mongolian BBQ in Pasadena pretty frequently, and I like it better than I remember liking Mogo's. I think there's a bigger variety of veggies & toppings. Anyway, it is variously called Golden Lion and Mongol's BBQ. It's at the NW corner of Colorado & Rosemead Blvds. Not sure I'd drive from Studio City, at $3.25/gallon, to get there, since Mogo's is decidedly more convenient.
