Steamed Crabs in Ocean City, Maryland
The paradox of OC MD - you can't get good crabs there
Looking for good crabs, money not important
Anyone?
Thanks, Joe

For my money, the Fenwick Crab House just north of OC is the best sit down crab place at the beach. If there are jumbos to be had anywhere that week, they will have plenty of them. Great cream of crab soup as well.

If you want to sit down, Mickey's in Bethany Beach (not a far drive from OC) is one of my favorites. For takeout, try Best Crabs (bayside on 142nd Street) or Captain Jacob's (Rt. 54 in Selbyville). Both have amazing crabs for a GREAT price (at least in the summer).
Happy Eating!

I found great crabs - someone recommended Sunset Grill, but the only thing decent there was the sunset; behind that by one pier is a restaurant (can't recall name) with great crabs and other food as well. Whatever the name, drive by the pier with Sunset Grill and you'll find a really decent restaurant.
Thanks,
Joe

I used to live in OC, and we'd go to Hoopers. Not sure if it's still there. Phillips is a little too touristy, although not terrible.
The best crabs are generally at shacks where they steam to order and you take them home with you. No rush to eat them, you supply the requisite beer, and there are plenty of cold crabs to snack on afterwards. Crabs to Go in West Ocean City are fantastic.
