Thoughts on Cowgirl?

  • 8

Has anyone ever been to Cowgirl (aka Cowgirl Hall of Fame)? I'm thinking of taking a group of 15 people there for a birthday and would like to know more about the place. thanks!

  1. I haven't been there in at least five years. Nice idea for a place, but I always remember the food being vile. They served corn dogs that were frozen (they had the brand name on the stick) and their lemonade was poured from a carton of Newman's Own at the waitstation. I can do all that at home for less money.

    1. Have to disagree, I live right near the place and I love it. The "chicken fried" items are especially good and for groups its pretty good tex/mex as well as child-friendly. Though the corndogs and lemonade might want to be skipped (iced tea and frito pies are acceptable replacements in my opinion which they make there).

      1. I haven't been in years, but I always thought the food was fine for what it is. A birthday party for 15 seems just about the right vibe.

        1. I was there about 4 years ago. The burgers were pretty good - a solid B to B+.

          1. i think it's a good, lively spot for a party, especially a big group. i've been there several times for birthdays and it's fun. i think the food is pretty good. i like the chicken fried steak, frito pie, fried catfish sandwich and their burger. the margaritas are pretty good, too.
