I'll post to the "home Cooking" board but as this is geo specific, hoping it will generate a response....
My SIL is pregnant and due in Sept., I'll be doing some cooking for her but also wanted to provide personal chef as well. You know, the step above "Meals on Wheels"....they cook and drop off at your home..
South Bay, Sunnyvale specfically. Does anyone have a recommendation for a week or two of a personal chef? Or if you can point me in the right direction, web seach wise, that is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advanced!
Erin

I'm also in the market for somthing like this in the South Bay--although it would be a special meal for two as a wedding present.

Go to www.hireachef.com and search for a Personal Chef in your SIL's zip code.

Also do google search and independent chefs for your area will come up. There are plenty who are not affiliated with any organization. Specifically, 'Sunnyvale Personal Chef', etc.

Make sure they will deliver. Most don't have commercial kitchens and have to cook in your home which takes the better part of a day.

There was an article about this in the Chronicle last year. The article includes some local suggestions that look really good.
