La Serenata de Garibaldi - Santa Monica or Westside Pavillion location?

Redvixen Aug 1, 2006 11:02 PM

I am going to La Serenata de Garibaldi tomorrow night for dinner. Unfortunately the east LA location is just too far away for tomorrow night. Is there a difference between the Santa Monica or Westside Pavillion locations? Is one preferable over the other?

Thank you so much!

I personally like the Westside Pavilion location better . . .it is more casual, and I prefer the selection. And, I haven't been to the Santa Monica location in a while, but recall that the Westside Pavilion one is a bit better priced.

I have only been to the SM location of this restaurant, but wasn't terribly impressed. I think the biggest problem for me was the price. Fish tacos were priced at $15.00 or so, and the other options weren't much cheaper. The restaurant seems to focus on seafood offerings, and some may be good (I haven't gone beyond my one experience).

Tasty margaritas, though. I think my glass of ice water even came with a dash of tequilla in it :)

I'm more familiar with the Santa Monica location but most people seem to like the Westside Pavilion better. It's more casual in style, but people say the food is better. I've only been there once. Both places make good margaritas.
