LAX-ish?

Four adults and a (grown-up) 11 year-old coming in from out of town...I would like an "LA-style" restaurant that can be upscale, but not formal in any way.

I'm thinking Ford Filling Station-ish, but with better food.

Any suggestions?

    I recommend Moun of Tunis.

Good food and was really fun for we 4 adults and our 6 year old grand daughter. She really liked the eating with fingers with big towels on the lap. She was mesmerized by the Belly Dancer. (Dances are in good taste.) The food is presented in a different way than we are used too but even my VERY picky eater cousin likes it. It is a place we always take out of town visitors.

Scan the reviews here to see if it would work for you.

This is not an opulent place like Dar Mcgreb (sp) but an upscale family atmosphere.
