looking for bakery with tasty sugar free cakes

Zengarden Jul 31, 2006 11:14 PM

Is there such a thing as a tasty sugar free cake, preferably from a bakery? Am planning to get a birthday cake for someone who cannot have too much sugar.

Your help is appreciated. Would prefer to get something in the Danforth or Beach area of Toronto.

This isn't in the Danforth or Beach area, but Dessert Lady in Yorkville has amazing sugar-free chocolate mousse, so you could ask if they do sugar-free cakes. I have never been disappointed with anything from there, everything is delicious!

This is also not in the areas specified, but Carole's Cheesecake Company, at 1272 Castlefield Avenue (Allen & Eglinton area) has delicious sugar-free cheesecakes (in a variety of flavours), sweetened with xylitol, and my guests have never noticed the difference. Their phone number is (416) 256-0000. What's handy about the cheesecakes is that they can be frozen for use whenever.
