Heading up 93N to Franklin NH any good eats?

Work has me traveling up to Franklin NH. 495 to 93N. Any places worth checking out for lunch while up there?

Pauli's Bakery and Restaurant at 275 Main St in Tilton, NH is very good if you are looking for diner type fare. I can only vouch for their breakfast but I'm pretty sure that they are open for lunch, and if you are taking exit 20 on 93N you'll drive right by it.

I second Asian Delight. Great soft shell crab. (maybe not in season now) Excellent lunch good prices. Charming decor and very clean. You cannot do better in Franklin. Hounds, we need to support this place. Not a big detour off of I93.

kingbee: thanks for showing support. We were there last Saturday 9/16 and things looked a little busier but still a far cry from what may be enough. We had tempura as one of our appetizers. My husband thought the shrimp was the very best because of the delicate crumb coating. I could only guess that maybe it was panko crumbs. Any idea? The vegetables in the tempura were more of a traditional batter. We tend to order the curry dishes and like the way you can choose your meat with whatever curry you prefer. On this visit the entrees were not decorated with beautiful carrot lily flowers but were still lovely to look at.

If you like Thai, Asian Delight is a small place in downtown Franklin right next to the Opera House. A friend who works in Franklin said they are never busy which is probably due to the location. Franklin is a struggling, former mill town. We think the food is terrific, as good as Siam Orchid in Concord.
