Petit Dejeuner @ La Dolce V Chocolatier in Sebastopol

Melanie Wong Jul 31, 2006 08:50 AM

La Dolce V has relocated to downtown Sebastopol. In addition to the regular French hot chocolate, it now offers a "spiced" version. The aromatics of the cup are dreamy, scented with orange, ginger and vanilla. Not a bit of cinnamon or capsicum in this spicing. And, the rich yet subtle taste and heavy cream texture are even more outstanding.

The plain butter croissant is also very good here. The only thing not made from scratch, these are bought frozen from Gourmet & More and then baked on site. With a pure sweet buttery taste, delicate middle and crisp, flaky crust, these could beat out most croissants in these parts.
