retaining words in search field

Maybe this is just my browser, but when I do a search, the words or phrase I searched on doesn't stay displayed in the search box when the results are displayed. So if I want to refine the search by adding more info, I have to type my original search in again. I prefer the Google style where the search items remain displayed.

(Apologies if this issue has already been brought up. I tried to search for it but didn't find it.)

Never mind. I see that after doing a search, a second search field appears which does retain the words.
