There's an article in today's New York Times about a couple who discovered the second original oven for the Thomas' English Muffin company in their apartment's basement, opened in the late 1700s, when business got too busy for the original 9th Ave. bakery to handle.

Great article - love the bit at the end about the husband suggesting putting a "window" in front of the oven so that it would be visible.
