Is Allegria in Malibu still a good bet?

I'll be in Malibu this Sunday with an out-of-town friend who loves Italian food. Haven't been to Allegria in a few years. Is it still as good as I remember?

Took an out-of-town friend here for lunch yesterday. Everything about the place was fine. Service - prompt & friendly, but not overly so and the food was quite good. I had farfalle with chicken ... delectable. Don't recall my friend's dish, but he was very happy with the meal.

Allegria used to be one of my favorite Italian places. However, in the last year or so, the quality of the food has gone downhill noticeably. And this opinion is not based on an isolated incident - over half a dozen visits in the last year or so with my SO and various dining friends have unanimously agreed that something is amiss across the board. It's a bummer, really, because I've enjoyed so many exceptional meals there, but as it stands, I doubt I'll be back unless I hear convincing evidence that things have improved. Sigh...
