Archeo in Distillery District?
Has anyone been to Archeo in the Distillery District? I'm thinking of going there for lunch on Friday. I know the Brick Bakery is good but I'm looking for more of a sit-down meal. Any other recs in the DD?

Archeo has a wonderful rocket salad with shaved parmesan. It's in a nice, lemony dressing with just a few capers. It's $7 and there's at least $5 worth of ingredients in it. The pizzas are passable and the wines are moderately priced. Unless you want overpriced pub food at Mill St. or want to break the back at Perigee, stick with Archeo and choose simply.

Ended up there last night for a late dinner on their patio. While all the food was good I was dissapointed by the selection on the menu. There was a large choice of Appetizers about 10 but then there was only Pannini's, Pasta & Pizza with about 4 or 5 under each. None seemed overly creative.
They also had someone playing live music in the corner but they had the amp turned up way too loud as we could not have a conversation and we were one of the furthest tables from the speaker...

I was there for a function and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. My experience with restaurants n the Distillery District (excluding Perigee) has been mediocre at best. Although we did not order off the regular menu becuase it was a private funciton, the food was very fresh and delicious. Please give it a try and report back!

Was there last night and had a great meal.
Mozarrella di bufala was nice opener
Gnocchi with pancetta and sage was phenomenal! Best I've ever had at any restaurant.
Other's around me had Lamb shanks, beef tenderloin, seafood linguine. All well received.Seems like fairly standard Italian fare, but Very well executed. Portions are fair, and price is reasonable.
Apps: 7 - 12
Pastas: 10 - 15
Pizzas: 10 - 15
Mains: 18 - 25I'd go again.
