A while back there was a discussion that concluded it would be great to have a "road trip" board -- a place to discuss and ask questions about chow along a route between regions covered on different boards. Right now on the LA board there's a perfect example: someone taking several days to drive from LA to SF, which covers three different boards.

How about it Chowhound Team?

I think the best way to handle this is to post the main request on one board, say the LA board, and then put a note on the SF board to alert people there about the thread.

The moderators will not allow discussion of more than one region on a regional board. Thus, a request like this requires three different postings on three different boards (one to discuss LA, one to discuss SF, and one to discuss California inbetween), and people who want to reply have to post their answers to different boards. It's a hassle, it's a waste of time and resources. And it's repeated in reverse if someone is so kind as to report back.

Furthermore, the "trip" aspect is integral to the nature of the chow -- that's why the Sterns have been writing about roadfood for 30 years.
