I need a breakfast restaurant good for a meeting - near 59th and lex. Any suggestions?

I don't know the neighborhood at all and always get such good advice from this board. Sorry this question is so banal!

    Am I too late?

    Michael's at 24 West 55th (between 5th & 6th) is a little bit of a walk, but a real breakfast scene.

Might be a little far for but the brasserie on 53rd between lex and park is a decent spot for a breakfast meeting. Everyone in the place seems to be there for that purpose.

The smoked salmon omelette is tasty but since they stuff it with salmon it gets really salty really fast. Took four cups of coffee and 2 glasses of water to wash it down last time The eggs wi bacon platter is a bit mediocre as it the french toast platter but i guess you go there more for the ability to have a meeting than the food.

the lobby restaurant at the regency hotel is a popular spot for breakfast for business executives and politicians. it's a great spot for a meeting.

if you aim a few blocks lower, there are a few hotels along Lexington Ave. I have done the Waldorf for breakfast--though it's always a bit hectic to do a meeting over breakfast.
