Ramona vicinity restaurants/provisions

checkplease Jul 24, 2006 08:09 PM

We're spending a week in Ramona with several trips to the Solana Beach area.

Are there any tasty spots and/or provision options around Ramona or should we concentrate efforts near the beaches.

Any suggestions appreciated. We eat anything well-made.

I respectfully disagree with normalheightsfoodie. I really like the Ramona Cafe -- http://www.ramonacafe.com/ . Good, old fashioned, American diner food, and plenty of it. I like their corned beef hash and eggs, omelettes, and their scrambles. In the spring, I hunt wild turkeys in the Ramona area, and I always look forward to having a meal or two at the Ramona Cafe.

There is really nothing near Ramona, and it will be hot and dry, go to the beach.
