Suggestions for 3 meals near Hyatt Regency Downtown this weekend??

Hi.... we're staying at the Hyatt Regency Downtown on Friday night for our anniversary. Weather permitting, we're looking for something somewhat romantic, somewhat casual and preferably outdoors for dinner Friday. Was thinking Greektown, but am open to any other ideas. Also recs for breakfast and then a late lunch before heading down to catch a good spot for Venetian Night festivities!! Should also mention we tend to avoid chains, if at all possible!

Thanks in advance for the recommendations that will help to make our celebration special!

  1. How about the outdoor garden at NoMi in the Park Hyatt? It's upscale casual and the setting and view are absolutely gorgeous. Very romantic! For the garden you order from the lounge menu, so it's not as fancy as in the dining room but the food is still great. I have heard the brunch there is very good but haven't been myself.

Quartino also has outdoor seating and is casual. It is noisy, though, so maybe not so romantic.

I am not really familiar with Greektown restaurants but I do know that several have outdoor seating.

    Roy's has a patio, but that's a chain...

Surprisingly, there aren't a whole lot of restaurants downtown that have patio seating. I'm with you - eating outside is the best.

    Have fun and happy anniversary!

    1. Bistro 110 is very good for breakfast. I think they serve dinner too.

My wife and I had one of the most romantic dinners at Red Light. We had the chef's tasting menu, which is created by Chef Chen, when you order. I wanted to order an expensive bottle of Champagne and the Mairte'd council me to order a different bottle that was one third the price, and he was spot on.
