Aguas Frescas

Does anyone have any tips on how to make the best homemade Aguas Frescas and Horchata? I would love to make some so that I can make it through this heat wave. Thanks!

    Of course; any sweetener may be used.

      Can you use splenda in place of the sugar for the simple syrup in aqua fresca?

        I don't have a recipe per se, because so much depends on the fruit... but these recipes from the Santa Barbara Farmer's Market look good:

        My personal favorite has raspberries, a squeeze of lemon or lime juice and water and honey to taste. Strain the seeds and enjoy.
