Eating out with well-behaved (but young) children

My husband and I love to eat out, and we're looking for kid-friendly, sophisticated and good restaurants in the Boston area. Suggestions? The kids eat just about anything and are great in restaurants~ we just don't want to torture them by only eating in places that aren't really set up to accomodate them. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

How old? If they are, say, 5+ and well behaved, then there shouldn't be a problem anywhere which isn't super formal or a bar. Bloomie just wrote today about taking his 6 year old daughter to East Coast Grill, which might be a good place to start for fine dining. I've seen kids at Oleana (way too late in the evening for said child, though).

Perhaps it would be wiser to ask which restaurants wouldn't be good for kids.
