Apparently a Salt Creek Grille is being developed in El Segundo on Rosecrans in that strip with Manhattan Beach across the street.
Also, the Continental in Beverly Hills (8400 Wilshire) will become Hokusai once the remodeling is finished.
In K-town, both Blink and Mirage are in escrow for major bucks, yet both will remain the same concepts.
J.R.Seafood in WLA is being sold to the Hop Li Seafood people, maybe to change the name, maybe to just continue operating.
Tlapazola Grill is in escrow to open at 4059 Lincoln down MDR way.
Minibar on W. Cahuenga between Hwd. and the Valley is changing ownership, yet apparently keeping the same concept.

Does this mean that Tlapazola will be giving up their Gateway/Barrington location?

Have an idea it may be a second location, as there is no posting notice up for the Gateway location.

I've been to Minibar many times in the past and have had pleasant conversations with the owners. Do you know who will be taking their place?

Does the name Jungah Alice Lee ring a bell, as she is the manager of Minibar Holdings, which is the new legal owning entity? Since their license has a 5-year restriction on re-sale, it will be interesting to see how they get around that issue, and the state board of equalization hold on the escrow as well.

Hey, since you seem to know all about new openings, what's going in the old Alessi space at Melrose and Highland? And when? It's been empty for so long!

That will be the new Nancy Silverton/Mario Batali thing called Mozza, or at least tentatively so.
May open phase one in August.
