how do I cook salted shrimp

I just got a plastic jar with must be hundreds of really tiny shrimp. It's labeled salted shrimp and they come from China. Anybody has ever cooked them? Thanks for your help.

    Salted Shrimp are added to various dishes, such as lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice, braised items and stir fries. My aunt does this braised nappa cabbage with mung bean thread noodles and dried shrimp (amongst other things).

      They are also really good in Green Papaya Salad. My mom used to cook with them a lot, at first they kind of weirded me out, but now I like them. I think you just add them in as is, no reconstituting necessary. Tip: good cat treat!

        As you have probably deduced, they are a seasoning, not the main event.

          In Brazil they are often blended with other ingredients to make a sauce (such as for acaraje from Bahia) or used as part of the seasoning also blended. Sometimes they are soaked, sometimes not.
