Buca di Beppo for Lunch, What to Order? [moved from L.A. board]

Lucky me may get dragged to lunch at BdB in HB. Any suggestions what's best to order or just shoot in the dark?

Linguini & clams is not on the menus but it's excellent.

I didn't know they were open for lunch.

Get the chicken saltimbocca. You'll lick the plate.

        Skip the desserts.

I also like the Quattro al Forno, a little bit for everyone: manicotti, cheese ravioli, canneloni and shells stuffed w/spicy sausage.

Take the leftovers home and you'll have dinner and the next day's lunch.

My fave thing there is simple spaghetti and meat sauce. It's very tasty. Lemon chicken is not bad either.

I actually LOVE their Macaroni Rosa. Pasta with pink sauce, chicken and peas. It's great!

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I've been quite pleasantly surprised with...

the pizza. Seriously; just a simple margherita. It's a paper-thin crust, and they use what appears to be an uncooked tomato sauce. It's lightly baked. And believe it or not, rather tasty.

Maybe it was simply a case of something exceeding rather diminished expectations, but the next time I'm required to attend a BdiB event, I'll be getting the pizza.

Mixed drinks or many glasses of water. Anything else is wishful thinking.

2 stiff drinks to start and then for me it all doesn't seem as pedestrian.
