Will be attending a funeral at Riverside Memorial tomorrow (Friday) and Josie's was recommended as a "nice place" for lunch following services. The postings about Josie seem to be out of date. Any current info or comments wud be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The last couple of times I have been there the servers have been really rude. The food isn't bad, but coming from a funeral you probably won't be in the mood for snotty servers.

Nice Matin is also on the UWS...you can have a nice lunch there

My steak was cooked perfectly, my wife's mahi was delicious, the service was great & the Mgr was a wealth of wine knowledge (recommended a LaJota - now my favorite red!) Oh - they apparently make their own JUICES. mango lemonade or something - wow! It was sweet, but I loved it!

My condolences....

If you're referring to Josie's in the West 70's that also owns Better Burger, then I ate there for the first time this past week.

The menu is really interesting and I love that it is organic and healthy. The food was actually quite good. I'd like to go back there again.

And my server couldn't have been any nicer. I don't know if it is the right ambiance for a post memorial service meal. It's somewhat casual and quite sunny. But that might be just what you need.
