Abeles and Heymann-Bison Hot Dogs

Has anyone seen these around lately? They seem to have vanished from my local supermarkets. I really miss them.

  1. I haven't seen these or the bison salami, which was also great and very low fat. Thank you.

    1. I spoke to a Kosher butcher and he said that the A & H bison products are not distributed on a regular basis. In other words, it is hit or miss situation.

If you look at the factory registration number (Penn. Dept of Agriculture) on A. & H. deli and sausages, and compare it with other kosher meat purveyors, you will see who makes the product for them and understand that they depend on their supplier. I live in Manhattan and think these items are currently available at both Fairway and the Kosher Marketplace on the West Side

Anyone spot them lately, I haven't seen them in ages.

Ditto for the A & H Bison pastrami. Maybe a Chowhounder should contact A & H to find out what is going on.

I hope A and H reads this: I agree that the Bison Salami was the best that they made. I hope to see it again soon in the markets.
