I very much prefer a crunch granola bar to a chewy one. They seem to be increasingly harder to find. Nature Valley is the only one I know of. Does anyone else know of a good, crunch granola bar (preferable under 150 calories each)?

I like the ones from Kashi, they are a bit over 150 calories/bar (at 180), but they are wholesome, not too sweet and very crunchy.

What about a good granola bar recipe?? Crunchy or otherwise but that isn't loaded with honey or sugr.

Does anyone have one of those?

If you take any one of the recipes found here for GORP (http://www.chowhound.com/topics/show/310098) and use a biscotti baking method (e.g. bake at about 20 mins. at 250 F, cool, cut into bars, and bake again for about 10 mins.) you'll get really good crunchy granola bars.

Great Idea!

I have tried making these before but they end up to doughy. The biscotti method is a great suggestion. I will definately try it!
