Wine Bistro in Studio City?

Hypnotic23 Jul 19, 2006 02:37 AM

Does anybody know about the food at Wine Bistro or is simply about the drinking?

They're having a tequilla tasting night coming up for $50.00 which I'm tempted to attend?

Any feedback?

Thanks,

Stuart

    Stuart -
The wine bistro used to be about French food, yet now is more toward generating sales, regardless of format, and hence the tequila tasting.
J.B. Torchon, the owner, has actually been the chef here for around the last 10 years or so, and finally got to buy the place in 2004. Alain Cuny, his predecessor, was French, yet his roots are more Caribbean, and thus the wider range of flavors.
Try it if you want to taste the tequilas, and I know you will live to tell about the dining portion of the evening, even though the word innovation will probably not be a part of your commentary.

Stay the hell away from this place, the food is mediocre at best and the service blows!
