Where is the owner of Restaurant Deux

Does anyone know what happened to John, the owner of Restaurant Deux on the corner of Sherbrooke and St-Laurent. We like going there for lunch with people from work and about a month ago we were surprised to find a whole new staff (including new owner) and even though the food is still good, although not as good as it used to be, the service is now unprofessional and the place has lost all its pizazz! If anyone knows if he has opened something else or is planning to we'd love to encourage him...

  1. Hi I was the lunch chef at le deux, glad to know you enjoyed the food, There was some disagreement between owners and John has stepped down, I left at the same time because I knew the other owner would not work half as hard we did. John is still working at cafe souvenir on bernard st.(wich was his other gig), I am now working at Les deux singes de Montarvie on st-viateur O. I'm happy to find out from someone that our work was appreciated.

A coworker went to Les deux singes a few weekes ago and really raved about it. I shall try it sometime. Just tell, is there a lot of fish and seafood ont the menu because my girlfriend is lethally allergic and breaks down in hives even from the smell of next table's food.

yes lots of fish on the summer menu sorry to say, but the is the terasse outside where you may eat and watch the happening os mile-end, I suppose we should discuss all this in another thread if you are interested.

    2. Great to hear from you Cricklewood! You are an excellent chef and I talked about you many times to Merlin (your new boss) when he was first opening les 2 Singes and La Loïe. Unfortunately I am not on the best of terms with him at the present time but maybe in the future I will come pay you a visit and enjoy your cooking once again.
