Orange/Plum dipping sauce

A local pub serves coconut shrimp with a orange/plum dipping sauce. The sauce is hot- not mouth numbing hot, just a pleasant undertne of heat. I would love to make it at home. It would be great on chicken and duck, too. Does anyone have a recipe for this? TIA.

How about using some orange marmalade and plum jam, add some vinegar or lemon juice to loosen it up, then add a dash or two of chili oil or tabasco?

Thanks- that may be close! It has that wonderful sweet/hot taste common in some Asian dishes. I love it!

Really good- I don't care for sweet sauces, and this has just the right amount of kick. I think the vinegar recipe listed above is probably close.
