Sichuan / Szechuan downtown

I'm hosting a group of chinese food-loving chowhounds for lunch this week. Anyone know of a good, authentic Sichuan place in Manhattan below Houston? Many thanks!

  1. How about Grand Sichuan International in Chinatown on Canal between Bowery and Christy? I'm not sure I got the streets's near the temple (yellow) where the Fun Wah buses run.

    1. I believe that's the only one, but I also think it's not currently related to the other Grand Sichuans. Any reason for the location restriction?

Yes ... I work for a law firm; the lunch is for entertaining interns and we have a geographical limit so people don't wander off for the whole afternoon. I'll give this a shot. Thanks!

Grand Sichuan St. Marks is too far north?

In that case, is it possible for you to choose another regional Chinese cuisine?

I know I know--Chinatown isn't the best for Sichuan food. But that's what the kiddies want so that's what they'll get!
