Thai Shrimp Toast anywhere???????

I remember eating an amazing "Thai Shrimp Toast" in Ko Samui, Thailand. Shrimp toast is a piece of toasted bread with diced shrimp and some sweet sauce on top. It was amazing. However, there are no places in LA that serve it. When I bring it up to the waitresses, they give me fish cakes.... any help? Thanks!!!

I second Sava on that - TubTim's Thai Toast is pretty tasty - and the closest I have had to what you are describing.

Tubtim Siam on Vermont in Los Feliz has it. I can't vouch for authenticity, but it's one of my favorite dishes there.

I seem to recall having it several places, for sure at Toi on Sunset. So-so.
