ISO Dessert bread

Does anyone know a few places where I can get some really good dessert type breads (e.g. chocolate, raisin, cranberry bread)? Thank you!

N.B. I have tried Dean & Deluca and Whole Foods.

At the Union Square Farmer's Market sometimes has some really good dessert bread. Just today I was cutting through there and this one place had some samples out. I tried the Carrot and Pumpkin Walnut...quite good.

      Chocolate cherry bread!

I've enjoyed it at Amy's Bread and from a bread baker at the Greenmarket. I can't remember their name, but they're at Union Square (on the west side) on Saturdays and Tompkins Square on Sundays.

I'm on the other side of the country but I use her cookbook all the time. There are some very delicious breads there (NOT including the chocolate loaf) and I wish I could try her whole repertoire.

I love the raisin walnut bread at Sullivan Street Bakery.

Balthazar's has the best chocolate bread.

I have bought some good dessert breads at Trader Joes (as you walk in, just past the produce section. On your left, at the head of the aisle.)

E.A.T. on Madison at 79th or 80th has a lovely rich cranberry nut multigrain loaf that is one of my favorites. It is a sweet yeasted bread and goes wonderfully with cheeses. Ilove it toasted in the morning or for a late night snack with a good bit of butter for a special treat.
