Looking for recommendations on Halal restaurants in Austin.

The Halal restaurants that I've eaten at are: Al Borz, Jerusalem Deli, Cleopatra's, Madras Pavilion, Shalimar, and Student Biryani. I'm also interested in restaurants that serve Middle Eastern cuisine that aren't Halal since I'm not muslim, but since I have a couple of muslim friends I'd like to find a couple of new places where we can share some good eats.

BTW, anyone know of a place that serves the green (fava bean) Lebanese falafel. The only places I've ever had them were in Egypt and Israel. All I can ever seem to find is the yellow Turkish variety with garbonzo beans.

It's not middle eastern, but if you like Indian, I recently went to Swad on N. Lamar and it is easily close to the best Indian food I've eaten here in Austin... plus it's all vegetarian there.

Try Pars deli, at Burnet and 183 (SW corner, next to Trudy's). I think that they have the fava falafel, but it has been a while since I've been there...
