Monday Dining
I posted earlier for restaurant advice. However, one of our only available days for dinner is Monday, and I've found that many restos I most want to visit are closed. So . . anyone know of any high end, recommended restaurants open on Monday? We're staying in the Plateau, but resto location is unimportant. Among the closed Monday restos that are most appealing are Toque, Brunoise, and La Chronique -- is anything comparable open Monday? All the restos open on Monday (e.g. Cube) seem to have some mixed reviews.
We've decided on Toque for our other "big night out", and Au Pied au Cochon and Schwarz for eating out with the kids -- please tell me if I'm making an error.

I think you should go ahead with Cube. While I haven't tried the current menu, I've never had a meal there that was less than excellent. Another option for you might be Brontë in the Meridien Versailles on Sherbrooke. They do French/Italian fusion. The chef, Joe Mercuri is known for his passionate, luxurious cooking and beautiful presentations. I believe you mentioned on another board you liked Alinea. While Brontë is not in that league, I think their food will appeal to you.
I've never eaten at Toque so I can't comment. Schwartz's and APdC and two of my favorite restos in Montreal. Au Pied's menu features many dishes unique to the restaurant. Be sure to have your server explain the food to you as the names of some dishes are cryptic and many items are served in portions that can only be described as gigantic.
