Need a moderately priced restaurant with fun, happening and comfy decor for my b-day.

What's been your favorite b-day spot?

I'm open to food choice. Asian, tapas, french, italian are all good choices.

Lower East Side, East Village or West Village ...are all good hoods.

Looking for good food and good atmosphere for a 5-10 person group.

apple - cute place, good cheap vietnamese food, tasty drinks

frank - good italian, led zeppelin jams, big table for larger parties (east village)
max - simliar to frank (ev)
casimir - good french, outdoor seating (ev/alphabet city)
little giant - fun and cute (lower east side)
freemans - fun lodge-y decor, great simple foods, awesome cocktails, will do groups (lower east side/ev-ish)
valdino west (west village)
