Has anyone tried Ultra Supper Club
I have been working in the Ontario are for several months now and plan on bringing the wife up for the weekend (22nd is her b-day). This will be her second visit and we did some great restaurants the last time she was with me.
I was thinking about going to Ultra Supper Club but have not found many what I would consider real reviews.
After seeing the reviews on here about Perigee we may try there. We were in the Distillery district and had a great lunch at Pure Spirits so I know were the Perigee is located.
Any information is appreciated.

I have ruled out Ultra. I tried to make reso's at Perigee for Saturday but they are booked.
So far in the GTA I have been to Gladstone's wine bar & grill, Pure Spirts in the Distillery, Topiary and a few others.
The Wife is flying in for the weekend and it's her b-day we are both more interested in the food so I nixed Ultra. I am on the waiting list for Perigee in case someone cancels.
Going to do more research here on chowhound, so I can get reso's at a second place as a back up, maybe Splendido.

i went to ultra over a year ago, the food was actually quite good and memorable enough that i could prattle off my menu rather well right now. it was however, expensive and i think there are definitely many other locations that you can go for that value. maybe the expense is why i recall it so well....
my other hesitation with the place is that it essentially turns into a lounge/nightclub after a certain hour and the change will occur around you if you stay in the restaurant long enough. the music reaches a deafening tone and it's all about shiny pretty people. if you enjoy a see and be seen place, then go here and check out the white patio up top.
otherwise, perigee is a foodie haven and perfect if you want to be able to eat over an extended period of time with lovely service. my friends recall this meal as THE meal of their lives so far. additionally, places like splendido offer very very consistent food and service that is only ever praised.
where did you go before? don't want to begin suggesting more restaurants that you've been to already.

I just bumped into a terrible review for the Ultra Supper Club on the Dine To site...link below.
For my money and satisfaction, I like Zucca (Italian), just south of Eglinton on Yonge. It isn't really showy or a place to be seen, but the service is always fantastic as is the food.
