Just off Solano Ave - Fra'Mani salumi $14.99 lb

Down the street from La Farine, Colusa Market is now selling two types of Fra'Mani salami.

Fra' Mani is run by ex-Olivetto’s chef, Paul Bertolli, who is making handcrafted Salumi from all-natural pork.

Colusa Market is selling Salame Nostrano and Salame Gentile in addition to the fresh sausages mentioned in this post.

They are very good. Look for them in the back of the store, hanging from the wall. Descriptions of the salumi are on the products link of the website.

I like this little market more and more on every visit. They had some lovely wild salmon that was almost ivory in color. Absolutly no dye ever touched this fish. There were some interesting mason jars of veggies in tomato sauce (kimchee?), but I was too hurried to check them out.

You KNOW if I put Kensington in the title most of you would not have read this. It is a small town right next to Berkeley. Solano Ave almost everybody knows.

I've bought the ivory salmon at Monterey Fish a couple of times this season - delish. Berkeley Bowl awhile back had some lox made with it awhile back which was great.

That might have been ivory salmon. It's in season right now, got some at the Berkeley Bowl yesterday.
