Good tabouli in Pasadena/Glendale

  • 6

I've been craving some tabouli lately. Can anyone recommend where I can get some good tabouli around the Pasadena/Glendale area? I'm willing to drive a bit also. Thanks.

  1. Mediterranean Café off of Lake Ave has good and fresh Middle Eastern food. I like their shawarmas and hummus too.

    Mediterranean Café
    273 Shopper's Lane
    Pasadena, CA

    1. Good Times Pita Kitchen. I've eaten just about everything on the menu, and everything has been great. Its just a small place with counter service, but the food is excellent.

      633 S Arroyo Pkwy

      1. I had the most outstanding tabouli at Cafe Santorini a couple weeks ago. Very fresh, the perfect combination of flavors, not too heavy on the oil... just perfect!

        1. Any of the classic Armenian/Lebanese places in Glendale:
          Carousel and Mandaloun.

I agree - Med Cafe's is decent as is their Baba Ghannouj (sp?)

          1. ir eally like pita pita's. i also like their vegetable curry, but it's their beans on their rice that i can't get enough of.

            1. Lebanese Kitchen in Pasadena (on Washington Blvd., just west of Hill) has one of the better Taboule's around town.

In Glendale, although no where near as fancy as Carousel, Cafe Bravo on Glenoaks Blvd. (corner of Grandview and Glenoaks, next to KFC) makes some delicious taboule. They also have great ikra, hummus and kebabs. Extremely reasonably priced and delicious food. It's sad, the owner dropped dead of a heart attack about 6 weeks ago, The family has been trying to deal with their loss and keep their very busy business going. He was only 54!
