SUSHI ZO is stellar
After reading multiple posts about this place I decided to give it a try tonight.
I must say I was very impressed as were all of the other patrons who were dining there.
The omakase course took my taste buds through a wonderous trip of the many flavors and consistancies which the ocean has to offer. There must have been about 15 different kinds of fish, a few of which I had never had before. The orange clam and the white shrimp were both awe inspiringly new and tasty. The chef is a nice departure from the rude purists and the boisterous blow hards. He is simple and refined just like the cuisine he is preparing. I urge anybody who is a fan of great sushi to try this place.

re: tissue
9:30 is last call, close is 10 PM.
Sat with a bar full of 5 other chowhounds on Tuesday night so, I guess this message seems to be reaching people. It reached me (which is why I went). I think almost everything was quite good. Two of us ordered ala cart or let the chef choose. We had about 9 rounds. Highlights where giant clam, toro hand roll, uni, kampachi.
Aji was not too fresh.
Sweet shrimp was good but when I get an "order" of sweet shrimp I expect TWO pieces of sushi per order AND TWO heads ....that is what you pay for, I believe.Overall for two w/ a fiar amount of sake and draft Kirins, $135. Not cheap but not outrageous.
I will go back.
