This week I'm staying around 6th & Pike in Seattle for work. I'm looking for dinner spots that are within walking distance, casual, and OK for dining solo. Recommendations?

  1. Where are you coming from and what types of food do you like to eat? I can think of dozens of suggestions off the top of my head but it would be better if I could narrow them down.

    1. If you're going to be around on friday, and don't mind a bit of fun to go with your meal... might want to check out Le Pichet (1st and Virginia), there will be bastille day festivities including music and french style street food, I've been dreaming about the pork confit sandwich since I had one last year.

      1. Isn't that like really near Oceanaire?

        1. Shiros Sushi - It is on the corner of 2nd and battery.

They have a wonderful menu, great service and a nice atmosphere. It is mosly locals / regulars that eat there, but sit up at the bar and Shiro will with out a doubt entertain you for the night. The house specials are always a good choice. Especially the Blackcod Kasuzuke. Sushi is fresh as well as the feature menu they offer. Go early as they seem to fill up fast.

          1. Woman alone downtown? Palace Kitchen, 5th & Lenora is the best bet. Sit at the bar and get great service. Menu lends itself to solo dinners, too. Lots of action, but comfortable. Le Pichet also great.
