KJ's --- Formerly Pepe's Galley

The coffee shop in the El Dorado bowl re-opened some time ago as KJ's.

I like it as well as Pepe's that had occupied the same space.

Good hamburger and steak sandwich. Also they have a really tasty Beef Stroganoff on the occasional Monday. I haven't figured out the schedule yet.

If you liked Pepe's you'll like KJ's

  1. Bah!! SO just told me the rave below is for Pepy's Galley in Mar Vista... who'd think there was a chain of Bowling Alley Dives called Pepys... LOL!! -D.

Wow! We were just there last month for breakfast! Was the name the only place that changed?

We hope so, because we LOVED it!! Totally rave and hound worthy. I had the best Red Chilaquilles I've had outside of Mexico City... They were OUTSTANDING. Also the Machaca was better than the Pot Roast Hash at Jar. I felt like a glutton getting both items, but dang, they went SO great together!

SO had the Country Fried Steak which was amazing tender and also just great!! We used to live right down the street... now we're kinda glad that we don't... LOL!! :)

      1. don't like it as much as pepe's that was there before...its the same menu, likey the same chefs/prep but it seemed to have lost something in translation.

I do like the machaca....but a few times there have been technical problems (service, food wasn't as good) and I haven't gone as frequently as I had been. at least they take plastic now.
