Help with Bargain Bank
After reading on the various posts on bargain bank, I decided to check them out over the weekend. I stopped by at the Clement store and saw some quality wines there however was skeptical and cautious about purchasing.
They have William Selyem Pinots 1993, 1995 ranging about 50+ to 60+ per bottle.
Bond St. Eden 2001 for $169
Shafer Cabernets 2000 for $170+
I was not ready to put my money into buying these before knowing more. Therefore I purchased a couple of cheaper bottles to see if they were stored/transported properly so the wine did not spoil.
Anxiously, I went home and opened the bottles I purchased. The Eberle Syrah 2001 and a French Red was corked and tasted horrible. However, the Chateau Allamant Pinot Gris that were sold for $2 were great.
Does anyone have any good experience with the wines purchased here? Any advice on how to select wines from their stores?
TIA.
