granada or the grenadines?

Hi I'm hoping to go for my honeymoon in Oct. Any suggestions on bequia or st. vincent or grenada?

  1. Grenada is a beautiful island-- My mom is Grenadian born and raised and recommends The Nutmeg in St. George's.

    1. I have been to Grenada and most of the Grenadines. Saw 11 island, about 50 resorts and ate at some of the best, in 7 days. eeee

The islands all vastly differ. Have you been to the Caribbean before? What do you seek?

Grenada has lovely hotels and very good dining. The landscape is incredible particuliarly the spices and flora and fauna. Buy lots of nutmeg and spices here. The beaches are not so pretty..dark sand and the water is not so blue and clear where I was...

St. Vincent is very third world West Indian but very cool and hip. I stayed at the chic Young Island and cannot say enough but it's got a hefty price tag. Nearyby is Mayreau..Salt Whistle Quay and the Tobago Quays..breathtaking views. I stayed at Palm Island back when the Caldwell's own it. Now Rob Barrett owns it..he does a good job in all he does..(Elite Resorts). Bequia is GREAT. Love the entire vibe. Mac's Pizza, Princess Margaret Bay, the half hull boat maker...its charming. Mustique is oh so chic...don't miss Basil's (also one on St. Vincent across from Young Island) for drinks with the rich and not so famous..haaa...Union ..not much I cared for..LOVED Carriacou..charming but small...Canouan has been ruined by huge resorts I am told..when I was there the airport terminal was a shack with a sign warning they had Dengue Fever..haa..

Tell us more what you's a lovely area that is perfect for a getaway..
