Need a Pick-Me-Up Lunch, Murray Hill Area

I'm feeling down in the dumps today - no need to explain why. I could use a pick-me-up kind of lunch - something to make me happy. Murray Hill area, tho I'd walk out a bit if need be.

NOT looking for drinks. Don't need to be picked up that much LOL. Just good food.

Any ideas?

    Had a restaurant week lunch today at 11 Madison Park - just 10 blocks south of you - and it was terrific! I recommend the grilled watermelon, scallops, gnocchi, and raspberry dessert.

      It's restaurant week. Walk down to Union Square Cafe and have lunch at the bar. It's not reserved. You may have to wait a bit but you should be ok.

        I totally forget about that. I'm sure I can find several places nearby - thanks for reminding me. USC is a bit too far a walk, I only get an hour for lunch and I'm on 38th. Wonder if I could talk my boss into taking me for lunch LOL.

          how about Artisanal? might be a bit hot for fondue but good cheese and oysters make me happy.

            Actually, Artisinal is the one that popped into my head. I think I'm going to take a chance and walk over and see if they can accommodate just me. Hopefully they can.

            I love that place too.
