Oakland Convention Center - quick lunch?

What's a fast, cheap lunch place near the Convention Center? I'll have only 45 minutes for lunch, and I'll be on foot so it has to be walkable.

  1. Caffe 817 at 817 Washington (one block from the Convention Cente

    1. Caffe 817 is a great choice, but, although it ain't really expensive, it aint cheap either.

Cam Huong, on Webster between 9th and 10th Sts. is a good bet for a take-out bahn mi (French sandwich) - crisp outside soft inside French roll, pickled carrots, cukes, etc., and filling of curried chicken or beef and onions. You can acutally eat inside Cam Huong as there are a few tables at the back.

Thanks - both suggestions sound great! I'll be there for three days so I'll hopefully have a chance to check out both.
