I liked the Republic -- good environs (if you're lucky, you can catch the 'wine fairy' in action ;) ) -- and I'm head-over-heels about their bourbon-glazed doughnuts.
I went to Republic with two friends a couple of months ago and we all loved the food. And we tend to be fairly particular. The veal Porterhouse in particular was incredible. But everything we tried, save the raw surf and turf, was excellent and creative.
