Remarkably good low-end ice cream
My husband really likes ice-cream sandwiches qua sandwiches, not qua ice cream. I could buy some Dancing Deer cherry-almond-ginger cookies and a pint of Toscanini vanilla and make my own, but I was at the supermarket and in a hurry, and so I grabbed him some Hood Red Sox vanilla & caramel ice-cream sandwiches. Of course I ended up having one too, and found it to be surprisingly good. The caramel has a deepish, burnt flavor that's unexpectedly complex for a mass-market kids' product.
Just wanted to give a quick thumbs-up to those.
