Jerusalem (Bailey's Crossroads) Friday Buffet

Inconspicuous sign on the roadside signpost for the shopping strip - announces Friday lunch buffet (I think it's lunch only, but not sure) at Jerusalem.

$9.99 and well worth it!

Fried fish (didn't try), roast chicken (magnificent, perfectly cooked, flavor of the herbs went throughout the meat), rice & soupy green something (?) to put on it (not my style), lamb and herbed rice (very good), liquidy green something turned out to be pureed ALL THE JALAPENO PEPPERS IN THE WORLD (excellent on top of everything I tried it on), salad, green beans/tomatoes/onions (very good, a little kick to it), pickled beet strips, hummus with chunks of something mixed in (bread?) (very good, would have preferred just the hummus but still wonderful), and pita (should have been warm).

All in all, a real gonna-go-back.

  1. Thanks for posting this. It's certainly a new thing for them, and I'll have to give it a try.

However, the last couple of meals there weren't quite up to what it had been, say, before the early spring. Can anybody comment on possible changes in the kitchen?
