Divine cookies -- East Side

Looking for fabulous chocolate chip cookies to impress suburban folks!

I was thinking of Levain Bakery or Ruby et Violette (very different cookies, but both are marvellous) but I work in the Chrysler Bldg and would rather stay on the East Side before driving out of the city tonight.

Do you know if either of these bakeries sell their cookies anywhere other than the UWS/Hells Kitchen location? Can't seem to find any information online.

Other suggestions are welcome!

    I would go to:

Milk & Cookies on Commerce St. (I know, it's on the W Village),

J'Adore on 5th Ave & 23rd St. has good cookies too.

City Bakery has great chocolate chip cookies - sugary crunch and buttery.

Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Bldg.: awesome peanut butter cookie, the Nutter Butter; other cookies are great too.

I know many of these places aren't on the East Side but I think there are other bakeries that have some good cookies on the Mid. East side.

For your latter inquiry regarding about other locations for Levain & Ruby, the answer's mainly no. Unless you live or going near Montauk, Long Island you can get a Levain cookie.

    Good luck on your search,
    TW
