Suggestions for 25th Anniversary

Thinking of L'Espalier, Radius, Clio, No. 9 Park, Aujourd'Hui or Meritage...any thoughts or suggestions?

i have been to each of these restaurants within the past year and i would say you can't really go wrong with any of these - they are all fine restaurants. NO.9 Park in my opinion is pretty ordinary. good food, but nothing special. Aujourd'hui is excellent and has the decor and service befitting of a big anniversary. Also, you can go to the Bristol Lounge (lobby of the Four Seasons) before dinner for a cocktail which is fun. L'Espalier is of the same calibre i believe. Clio, in my opinion, has the best and most inventive food in all of Boston though the decor is a bit on the ordinary side. Meritage has excellent food and a funky feel to it which is nice, but i feel the service is sometimes lacking. this is very long winded but hopefully gives you a sense of each.

Everyone should go to L'Espalier at least once and a 25th anniv. is a good time to do it.

Of your ideas above, I haven't been to Aujourd'Hui recently enough to really give you an opinion, except that when I did go there, it was a great special occasion spot. We were seated at a very spacious table with a view of the garden and they added a happy anniversary message to our dessert. I have been to both Clio and #9 recently and while I really like both, Clio is top of my list. I think the food at both places is really good, but even though portions are not huge at either place, I think that sometimes #9 portions are way too small.

I have to disagree about the portion size at No. 9, though I've almost always had the tasting menu when dining there. I've never left anything less than stuffed.
